NanoCam Plus NCP-DVR30CH - What do the different playback options mean?
Modified on: Mon, 6 Oct, 2025 at 2:36 PM
There are three different playback options available in the storage of the dash cam that mean and are determined off different features of the device. See the guide below:
Normal video:
A normal video is comprised of files that are taken by the loop recording feature of the device. The device will continuously record and release the files into this folder.
Lock video:
Locked videos are files that are protected from the nature of loop recording which will inevitably overwrite old files. Files that are deemed important by the user are placed here, and are usually determined by:
- The user pressing the lock button on the screen, which will send the current loop recording here instead of "normal video".
- The device's G-sensor detecting an impact and protecting the current loop recording.
Parking video:
This device supports parking recordings which the device will also record when the engine is turned off, only if an impact is detected, or timelapse is enabled. These features require a connection to the car power supply via the 3-wire hardwire kit (not included) and will be stored in this folder.
